The Running Noses 5k charity run is proudly sponsored and organized by the UNCW Department of Housing and Residence Life and the Residence Hall Association.
Why you should run/walk
All donations will be given to Kids Making It this year. KMI. Kids Making It is a national award winning program unique in its strengths-based approach to empower our at-risk youth to trascend their challenges and grow into responsible, employed, law-abiding citizens. Come and enjoy our beautiful campus and help the community at the same time.

You can still help
We will also be accepting donations from non-running participants who still want to help our cause. You are invited to come and enjoy the event. Music and food will be provided.
Why we choose this local group
All proceeds will go to benefit KMI of Wilmington, a non-profit organization dedicated to building character and self-esteem in young people through involvement in woodworking and the arts. They provide a creative outlet to disadvantaged youth who otherwise would not have access to woodworking or arts education. Through positive experiences they teach many life lessons, build creativity, and emphasize teamwork. The finished products are then put up for sale in the shop with the youth keeping all of the profits!
